been reading the 8830 sticky and im confused with the unlocking process... are u capable of taking an alltel 8830 i guess unlock it (?) and then put it on verizons network?
if anyone can clear this up for me that would be great....

No. Really you're only able to use another carrier's sim card while in Europe.

so pretty much unlocking is just for the GSM side.... kinda sucks... (not stateside)

That would be correct. You want to use verizon you gotta buy a verizon phone.
