    I recently purchased a Q10 from T-Mobile and after using it on their network for a few days had it unlocked. Today I placed my work phone�s AT&T SIM in the Q10 which works fine in a 9700 and was unable to get data service only voice. It was my understanding that both the T-Mobile and AT&T Q10s use the same 4G bands so I don�t know why it�s not working. I noticed the APN setting name changed from �fast.t-mobile.com� and not greyed out to �phone� and it is greyed out. Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.

    They don't use the same radio bands everywhere, but the TMO Q10 has all the bands AT&T uses.

    It definitely sounds like an APN issue to me. Do you know someone else with a Q10 on AT&T whose APN settings you could look up? A Z10 would probably work too.

    No, I don’t know anyone else with a Q10 I could check for APN settings. I’m not sure how the APN stuff works, that AT&T SIM in a different phone I have has an APN name of “wap.cingular” along with a username and password.

    Sometimes these APNs change with networks. For example, T-Mobile's LTE APN is "fast.t-mobile" whereas their 3G APN I believe was "epc.t-mobile." If AT&T's APN (for any network) is not "phone," you'd want to get it un-greyed out so that you can change it to whatever APN it needs to be. Hope someone in this sub-forum knows exactly what to do.

    According to this post, "phone" is the correct APN (at least for the Z10 it is.) And I assume you have a data plan already.

    Edit 2: seems like there is at least one other person who's had similar issues.

    I went into the engineering screen and changed the radio settings but still no data service on any of my band choices, issue still unresolved.

    Have you tried to go to AT&T's forum and ask there? There isn't a lot of activity in the BlackBerry forum, but there are some AT&T Community Specialists that will look into this for you. If you register for the forum, send a private message to ATTCustomerCare to see if they can help you.
