unlocked att curve to vzw question

I am getting an unlocked curve from an att user. My sister has a pearl with verizon. My question is can we log into her vzw account and click the switch/replace phone thing and enter the new unlocked phones info and activate it like the same way its done with regular phones or is it different because its blackberry?

You cannot use an AT&T Curve on VZW's network. AT&T devices are GSM, and VZW is a CDMA carrier.

Verizon only uses cdma technology not GSM sorry it won't work.
