Do you mean logging on to tmo site, and sending service books? Or is there more to the 9630 install specifically?

I also am using the 9630. I don;t know if you guys have touched up on this, but i think my problem is more basic. I don't have a data plan, have unlimited txt, which includes mms, but this won;t even send or receive MMS. I have another open line 8520, that a tmobile lady was able to fix so it would work. The guy at the tmobile store i went to earlier is one of those, "you need the data plan" bs person, that we all know we don't need to do an MMS. He tried to tinker with my 9630 but it was kinda half- hearted, no effort to resolve the issue at all.

Now my fellow 9630'ers.... I need to ask a big favor..... Do any of you have any idea how we can do this ourselves? Service books are there, used crackutil, used about every little thing i saw in here that has even an ounce of chance that may work, but to no avail.... HELP!!!

The Tmobile rep was correct, you need a Blackberry Data Plan for MMS to work.

Service books will always have to be manually loaded again after every OS loading.

Does this apply to Telus' Storm 2? I intend to use a Telus 9550 on Rogers. Will this actually work??

    Thanks, Ken

Yes kgr, if your using an unlocked phone on a different network it's all the same. Once you do it a few times, it's pretty easy. I had a Storm 1 on Att, and I got pretty good with it.

Most of the times Canadian carriers will push the Service Books automatically, but if not, it's very easy to do.

Thanks guys. I am quite familiar with using an unlocked GSM device on a different GSM carrier, but the CDMA/GSM devices kinda throw me off, lol. Rogers does seem pretty good at pushing service books.

You're welcome. Yes every time i've used an unlocked Storm/Tour on Rogers/Fido, the Service Books were pushed automatically.
