I tried the At&t Curve 8320 and the wifi worked great for browsing the web, but I could not make calls via UMA.
If I were to use an unlocked T-mobile Curve 8320, could I make calls over UMA?
The problem is that I have crappy service where I am staying, but I have a wifi router, so I want to have the additional coverage through UMA!
Thanks!

Heresy
I dont think it would work. UMA is a feature that is utilized by the carrier.

T-Mo is the only major US carrier to offer UMA. It has little to do with the device as long as it supports it. You must however be connecting through that carrier.
