I just found out today I need to unlock my phone to get it to work in the AT&T network. I haven't bought an unlock code yet but I was just testing out how to get the prompt to come up and nothing does. I press MEPD in the sim card settings and then MEP2 and nothing comes up! What am I doing wrong?

Also does anyone know of any cheap safe sites to get an unlock code from? I have centennial wireless and want to switch to AT&T (they bought out centennial and all their customers can switch over), unfortunately when I bought my phone in december they said I would be able to keep my phone if I switched. Apparently they just wanted to make a sale off me because that is not the case and there's no way I'm buying a new blackberry!!!!

Need to have a sim card inside for the prompt to come up.

I do have a sim card inside. Does it matter that it's the valid one that the phone is made for or do I need to go ahead and put the at&t one in it?

Doesn't matter. What does it say after typing "mepd"
