They all say that, but it doesn't void the warranty.

I am not affiliated with cellunlock.net in anyway but I can attest that they are fast, really fast. The instructions are simple and it takes literally seconds to unlock.

I will keep coming back to you guys b/c with the crackberry discount it's only about $30 CAD.

Thanks cellunlock, your professionalism and speed will keep me coming back with every phone I buy!!

I used the Remote Unlocker on my Telus 9700, worked well and was fast and efficient, also less expensive than the Cell Unlocknet.

Unlocking Telus 9700 for crackberry members is $29.99....So we're actually a penny cheaper

    order #30301

placed order to unlock telus 9700. received the code quickly but it did not work. I placed the same unlock code in the order details mentioning that I have already tried that and it does not work. After more research I am hearing Telus/Bell requires 2 unlock codes. Waiting to hear back from cellunlock.net. So far their service has been good

Bell Requires 2 codes (MEP & SP), Telus only 1 code (SP). The code is being rechecked by RIM today and we should have an update for you. Issue seems to be with some units which imei start with 0044 (which are test units).

ahh ic..I have tried several programs to read MEP code. like Logger, BB-MEP and I get MEP-LOADED each time. You can see image below. My post count is less than 10 so I cant insert image directly.

Exactly usually MEP should tell you example MEP-12345-123, they only say LOADED on test units.

You are more then welcome to try with any other unlocker, it will just be a waste of time again for you because we all use the same sources and we outsource these codes to other resellers and the issue here is not us but your phone, your phone is a prototype. Let us know what you want us to do, if you would like to issue refund and you try someone else that is fine with us.

You can also communicate with us through email.

What is the advantage of unlocking a Telus 9700? Is it only that it will allow me to use the phone with other carriers or are there any other advantages? Does it open up any features that may currently be locked? Please note this question is specific only to the 9700.
    Thanks!

ONLY advantage is the ability to use it with another carrier and a higher resale value if you choose to sale it.
