    A while ago I did a transfer of responsibility with Rogers. A month later I get my final bill, with it saying Rogers owes me $27.80. So I call them to claim the money only for them to tell me since I transferred my responsibilities to someone else, my account no longer exists and therefore cannot claim any money from them! The person I transferred to was someone from online so I do not have contact with them. Any advice is appreciated.

    Sorry to say but when you transferred your account you transferred your plan, data, options and unfortunately you also transferred that credit. It was up to you make sure you got that back from the new account holder.

    As much as I hate Rogers, you don't have a case for BBB.

    If it was hundreds of dollars it might be worth pushing for a higher rogers customer service person to do something about it.

    But you're talking less than $30.

    I'm sure you have better ways to spend $30 of your time.

    Thats because bbb doesnt have any teeth

    its a ratings and advisory group however you do havr an option

    make aure you have documentation before you do this

    have an official correspondence with rogers

    Then mention this the consumer rights tribunals
    yes this will make it go upto manager level they do not want to goto the tribunal

    make sure you have your documentation and dont throw anything out

    if rogers let you complain to the tribunal you have the documentation to back you up and you will win

    I made that mistake with windmobile

    I lost my documentation and couldve prove they owed me 5bucks

    btw the tribunal case is not paid by you but by the carrier and this was set up by the industry minister and the crtc
