Hi, i am new to blackberry, I just bought a balckberry yesterday, and the guy asked me if i'd like to unlocked it? I am not sure so I need to ask you guys in here. Please help. I have verizon right now, but i am going out of the country for the next 2 weeks and I need the Tour to use the internet.
So if I have mine unlock can i still use it with verizon? Can i still use it outside the country?

Unlocking gives you the added ability to use any third-party SIM card on the phone. It won't affect your ability to use Verizon or the included Vodafone SIM on their global network if you so choose.

So go get it unlocked!

Unlocked you could change to a Sim card of the local country but you probably would not get DATA -

Call Verizon before you leave and ask about the Global program - cheaper if you are using the calls and DATA a lot while overseas.
