You know, I have an 8120 with T mobile. I love the service, and I thought that the in store manner of the employees was top notch (very friendly and they didnt act like you were inconviencing them) but here was the reason I had only wifi for 3 months with TMo.

I decided I wanted a blackberry in Feb (i think) so after finding one that accepted wifi I bought it (duh). The guy asked if I had data, I told him I just had internet, so they signed me up for email and data and told me to wait a day. Now this was kind of odd because they were on the phone with whoever activates this stuff for close to 30 minutes. Anyways I was happy and went home to play on the wifi.

A week goes by and still no internet, so I call them and get some girl on the C/S line. She tells me that since I have smart access I'm not eligible for anything other than the minutes and text messaging. I ask her WTF, why did I have the internet on my Nokia? She had nothing, and then I heard her talking to someone she worked with about how hard I was to work with. Seriously? Granted I was a little peeved, but I too worked a phone job for 2 years at Wells Fargo. I *always* treat someone as I would like to be treated. Moot point anyways. Back to the story: I called them back about 10 minutes after that and learned for the first time that there are blackberry specialists! Long story short The specialist helped me out a lot and explained why (I had smart access and no one had told me no data with that) and got me set up on email.

A long winded story to convey a simple point: I am happy with the network and the stores, but I am appalled by the phone team they have. I'll say this--I HATE verizon, and due to something I have no clue about I cant get a phone through Cingular/ATT, so TMo was a good switch. If Vodaphone would come to the US, or if there was a better choice in my area (Minneapolis, and I wont go alltell or sprint) I would drop TMo in a heartbeat because of the debacle that this damn blackberry brought!

Love blackberry though. Only phone I would switch for is a Nokia N96 or E51.

Hey Sass, do you use internet

@ home or in the office? I have the same problem with my 8320 @ home and @ 1 work location, my solution was to hook up a wireless router to my internet. If you do this in both areas your Curveberry will always have wonderfull signal also for the time being, go to the SETUP Wi-Fi app on your menu. From there. you may be able to pick up a signal for free giving you service where you need it most hope I was helpfull

I have 8320 with T-mobile but not happy, I get to many drop calls and when I'm @ work @ night I have the SOS icon until I leave. I have the 8330 on Verizon with no complaints at all except for cost but no drop calls. I'm keeping my 8320 until the Javelin comes out and hoping I can get better service by then.
Do you by chance live in NYC? Service has been horrible for mw and my family. Dropped calls, calls failed, SOS and OFF. Plus, whole afternoon yesterday no service for Manhattan customers.

Verizon is the big man on campus here, but too expensive and too little too late devices.

    Yikes!!

Been with them for 8 years and will probably never change. Owned close to 20 different phones (family too) including 7-8 PDA/SmartPhones. This is my first Blackberry (Pearl 8120) and so far, so good.

Only drawback is the phone selection (I happend to luck out here) and NO 3G!! Come on big T!!!

I manage all of my parent accounts, I know more thing than you think I do.

When I switch from AT&T to T-Mobile back in December of last year, everything was great, the only down side was they don't have 3G.

I start to having problem with them this summer, when I order the T-Mobile HotSpot @Home service, which I think its a great service to replace my Comcast Digital Voice, which it cost about $40 a month for the same service. When I place my order I was told I going to get free activation, and I request my number from Comcast to be port over to T-Mobile, I give them all those information in order to start the porting process.

When I received my router and set it up, hopeing for the lovely dial tone, but I got nothing. I called T-Mobile and I was shock to learn they haven't even add the line to my account, nothing was set up, NOTHING! So I have to start this order and activate process again, which it took over an hour.

I finally got my service working, but since I keep having problem with the router, every time I pick up the phone, the router would reset, when someone call me and I pick up the phone, the router would reset, when I try to use the 3-way calling the router would reset. 8 out of 10 times when I try to use the phone the router will reset, do you know how annoying is when someone call you and you pick up the phone and try to answer the call, but the router reset and the call get disconnected, then you would have to wait 3 minutes for the router to start up again, look at the caller ID and call that person back?!?!?
But... then the freaking router reset again.

I called T-Mobile so many times about this problem, but T-Mobile like to play game, they push me to Linksys and Linksys push me back to T-Mobile. The the whole thing start all over again... T-Mobile push me to Linksys, Linksys push me back to T-Mobile..... because of this my call get disconnected so many time during the transfer, and I can't understand the tech support rep at Linksys!!!! SPEAK ENGLISH!!! PLEASE!!

T-Mobile finally agreed to exhcange the router, oh my god! Now you know its time for a new router?! I received the new router, but I still having the same issus. Now they start to blame Comcast for the problem, I told them so many time there is nothing wrong with my Comcast router or anything!

At the same time the hold time with the T-Mobile HotSpt @Home service department is getting horrible, its soooo horrible! You could be on hold for 2 hours. I think for 11 times I have to hang up and call them back later, the best time to call them is 11:00pm CST or over midnight, but the hold time is still not great!

Guess what? A T-Mobile rep complaint to me about why I'm calling customer service so much? She said I called total of 23 times, I think its much more than that. At that moment I was about to go off soooooooooooo bad, son of *****! **** you! you asshoe! *****! **** you mom! ****! ****!!! **** YOU KISS MY ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I didn't..... FIX THE DAMN PROBLEM! THEN I WOULDN'T BE CALLING YOU SO MUCH!!!! **** YOU!!!

Finally ... I mean FINALLY ... !!! Estoy muy contento!!!!!!!! [< Spanish] She quickly knew what I was talking about, and promised me to call me back next Monday, which she did. The problem was with the power adapter and wall outlet, after I change the power adapter, the problem was fixed. Can't you believe it? No one at T-Mobile know about this until her.... wow just wow!

No no no thats not all of it... if I have time I would write it all!

I could write a book about T-Mobile, I also spend 2 weeks argue with them about ETF (early termination fee), total of $600, which they finally give up when I filed a complaint with the FCC. Plus they aruged with me about the $36 activation fee, which its free anyways since I have corporate discount, and they finally credit that back just last week.

    I'm telling you...

T-Mobile sucks, please avoid them at all cost.

Been with T-MO for 1yr and just love them. Best customer service of any cell phone company and i've been with them all at one time or another. Finaly found a home. Previously had a bb 8100 and then they came out with Hotspot at home. 8100 wasn't wifi capable and got the samsung Katalyst. Missed my BB so much I got a 3rd line for the kids and got the cuve.

Just having been assimilated, I can't complain a out t-mo's service... For the last several months, I have been talking to Suncom reps employed by t-mobile, and have not noticed a change in service levels--- in my opinion, service was good with Suncom, and has been good since the change-over (official at the start of this month). The one issue I may have, is that my 8310 is not supported by t-mo yet. Just means that I will have to find my OS updates elsewhere. LOL

I've had T-Mo since March and I must say, they've really improved. I love the My Favs and they have a nice selection of phones. I have the BB Pearl (about a month now) and I love it! I've had other BBs before but this is the best one yet. I'll be staying with T-Mo for a long time..

    Hey, I've been a t-mobile user for 5+ years.
BB user for about 4 years.

I was hanging out over the weekend with a few other curve users (One with sprint, one with Verizon) the guy with verizon just got his curve, and it has video. Wow, was I jealous! there was a lingerie party on our street, and he was taking videos, all I could muster up were some photos.

The video quality was awesome. I can't wait for t-mobile to offer the upgrade.
    so any idea when?
