Can somebody tweet them and 1) confirm this, 2) ask what their position vis a vis band 12 on this phone is going to be, if they don't plan to carry this phone. Are they going to ask BB to disable it?

If this is true I'll have to get a Sony phone.

OK. But it won't be through TMO. TMO doesn't sell Sony phones.

Damn haha well I have to see what else might be suitable for me. I just dislike how they made a big deal with the kiss and make up between t-mobile and BlackBerry and no word on the priv for tmobile.

I asked them on Nov. 2nd if they were carrying the Priv and they said at that time they didn't know.
I can't afford the Priv outright so I guess its a Z30 or Passport for me

If they're "testing" it, that's a good thing. I don't know how many phone models get "tested" at TMO but ultimately aren't sold, but I doubt there are too many that are sold without being tested.

And I would NOT go off of what any rep has to say, they have NO idea whatsoever. I'd go by the CEO or COO's tweets, or may Des Smith's. The COO even said that the information a TMO rep tweeted was wrong. See here.

I can confirm reps are uninformed to a point, I just chatted one up in the chat webpage and he's said He is unsure if and when this might get released... But he did know of the device. Who knows! I'll keep my fingers crossed but won't hold my breath!

raino, i saw the following at tmo news:

Unlocked BlackBerry Priv is fully compatible with T-Mobile, including band 12 LTE and Wi-Fi calling TmoNews

looks like the priv will be band 12 compatible and will allow wifi calling too. lets hope they actually carry it. if they dont at least it looks as if it will be almost fully supported

Yeah, @hazarjast found this Sievert (COO) tweet too. And since this phone is band 12 compatible on TMO, that automatically means the phone will have voLTE.

Regarding carriage...no idea. At this point, I think it's fair to say that AT&T won't be the only carrier selling this phone.

Yeah, I wonder if tmo has something up their sleeve or if they are dragging their feet for no particular reason. Hard telling....

don't know what the hesitation from tmo is. they should come out and say if they are going to carry it or not, that way people who want the priv knows what their options are. tmo is really pissing me off with this being on the charter bs.

There may be an agreement in place that they cannot confirm or deny they will be carrying the Priv for a certain period of time. AT&T did at first say they were the exclusive carrier and have since changed it to where they are the first. I wouldn't be surprised if AT&T has short exclusive agreement that causes carriers, such as T-mobile, to remain quiet about it. I think T-mobile will get it, it's just a question of when. I've seen several rumors of expecting to hear something on the 10th or 12th.

Also, just as an interesting note, on Shop.BlackBerry the expected ship date for new orders is "beginning week of the 23rd". I guess that's a good sign for the number of orders.

I just left my local Tmo store in North Carolina. Asked the sales rep about the new BlackBerry android phone and she said hadn't heard about it. She said believed they no longer sell or service BlackBerry phones and wanted to sell me a Samsung Edge. I walked out...

Given that T-Mo opened up the WFC flood gates to all BB10 devices, I'd be utterly shocked if they go so far out of their way to request b12 be disabled on any Priv that they themselves don't sell. Remember, BB is still only 0.3% and T-Mo needs all the customers they can get.

Is the Motorola in question still crippled or did that issue get corrected?

I haven't received any WFC on my Passport. I just checked if I had an update and it doesn't show. I thought they released it only for the classic. l

That's because 1) they (TMO) haven't approved the release of anything for the Passport, and 2) you don't have the right OS installed. You need 10.3.2.2789 for WFC to work.

I was on the phone today with T-mo's tech support for BlackBerry and also asked about the Priv. Their specialist said he's testing the Priv "and absolutely loves it." He couldn't give out more info but said to wait 2 or 3 months.

You won't receive it OTA on anything but a Classic. You'll have to install it yourself.
