Worked perfectly on my ShopBlackberry Z30. Thanks!
I can confirm that the Z30STA100-5/10.3.3.2163 update allows WiFi calling. For those having trouble finding the app in BlackBerry World here it is: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...tent/35524900/
Merry Christmas all!
Posted via CB10 with my awesome Z30 STA100-5/10.3.3.2163 on T-Mobile USA who keeps disrupting & improving the wireless industry (but I'm not a supporter of the new T-Mobile One plan).
Worked with. 1359.
Seems to have stopped working with 1435. Although the icon is there if I try a call with WiFi on it just sits there...
Got it. Apologies! Not everyone is comfortable with using Sachesi, so I hope this info spreads.
Maybe reboot?
I did the OTA update with my shopblackberry Z30 to Software Release 10.3.3.1435 (829 MB update) and I still have Wi-Fi Calling... and it works. Txt'ing is still busted like before.
Rebooting doesn't work. Texts work for me, but voice calls don't. Go figure...
Which device are you on?
Passport running ota 10.3.3.1435
Randomly started working. Go figure.
With the latest update, I can turn WiFi on. When I try to make a call on my own WiFi network, I will get a box telling me that the call failed. After 4-5 times, the call will go through, but after about a minute or two, the call drops (I realize that I have silence at the other end). I have to turn off the WiFi calling to get the call through and not lose it. Also with the WiFi calling on, I have issues with sending out texts, they hang up. I've decided to just keep the WiFi calling off. Perhaps because I'm using a Z30, which T-Mo never sold, the WiFi calling feature isn't really made for it.
Z30-STA100-5 (T-Mo)-SR 10.3.3.1435 / OS 10.3.3.2163
I'm on T-Mobile USA with a Z30 as well. Wi-Fi Calling works for me, but txt's get hosed - can only send one txt out, but txt's can come in. I usually have Wi-Fi Calling set to Celluar Preferred so txt's don't get hosed, however that does mean I don't get txt's until I reconnect to the cell network. While at the office, I'm on wi-fi due to being in a building and can make/receive calls over wi-fi.
I'm using PassportSQW100-4/10.3.3.2163
Wifi calling service has been mixed for me.
So far no trouble sending SMS, though I don't use SMS that much.
MMS do not go out, but I have received MMS. Again, don't use this much. But sending MMS hasn't worked at all. (I believe I have played with SMS and MMS settings, but I should go back and try again to be sure.)
Have experienced dropped calls. Line just goes silent, I hang up, call again, and no issue until call drops again. I'm not sure how much of this is wifi calling on my device, how much is the wifi network, or how much is T-Mobile.
It's good enough for me to live with, but I will choose mobile network over wifi if the mobile signal is ok. It's better than nothing if there is no mobile signal and wifi is available and I have to make or receive a call. But I'm the type who doesn't use the phone that much, mostly BBM and email for communication.
Looks as if my passport finally is getting the newest update, can anyone confirm what to use or change to still have WiFi calling/texting?
If you want the ability to set Wi-Fi Calling preferences, get the T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling app (see post #27), but otherwise, you're set.
And texting is not working currently
After a reboot, texting and calling both work! This is on SR 10.3.3.1435 OS 10.3.3.2163.
