BestBuy and Radio Shack are offering the Tour for $99 for a new line with two year contract, why mess with Sprint's MIR?
Great. Can I get the same plan that sprint offers? 1500 Minute anymobile for$99 monthly.

Best Buy can put you on any plan a Sprint Rep can.
$250 for a Tour now? No way! There are much better deals out there + Tour 2 out in a couple of mos. So we guess.
Thats the going price, 250.00 - 100 MIR, making it 150.00 with 2year upgrade or new line of service.
Have you been to Bestbuy.com? Read the post above. $99 out the door. Anybody spending 250 now for the Tour must like throwing money away
yea your right.. at bell store 79 with 3yr contract i ask why so cheap he said being discontinue 9700 bold replacing it not sure if all carriers are or just bell im with telus 149 there
Yea because be prepared, that $100 MIR takes at least a month to be validated.
The difference is that at Best Buy you must pay the activation fee of $36. So at the end of the day your saving about $13. Plus at Sprint you can charge it too your acct. Then you have phone in hand and pay it off within a few billing cycles.
Question is does BB charge you tax based on full MSRP?
Sprint does...
I only paid a $19 activation fee. I also didn't have to pony up an extra $150 and then wait 2-3 months for my rebate. Best Buy is definitely the better route.
I paid an $18 activation fee on my next bill after buying my Curve at Best Buy, but it was also credited back to my account on the same bill.
$99 is the Everything MESSAGING 1500 plan. Everything Data Share 1500 w/the any time any mobile feature is $129
BB is definitely the way to go. The tax is what gets me. when i upgraded to the 8130 only paid tax after the rebate. When we upgraded the wife's, we paid tax on the full MSRP. Still better than waiting for a check to come 4-6 weeks later.
I was going to start a new thread to ask this question, but found this one and it saved me from starting a new thread!
Are there any other alternatives for getting a Tour cheaper than the $150 through Sprint? I'm eligible for an upgrade now and my Curve 8330 is really been making me mad. I need a more sophisticated machine. Sadly, I can't do the BestBuy option since I'm not starting a new line, just wanting to upgrade to a better phone.
If you are out of contract, then Sprint's retention dept will price match the Best Buys offer. Other then that, check out eBay.
