With caution...5gb cap on our unlimited data plans. Download SprintView off the Sprint website & follow the directions. Only took me a few minutes to set it up...will come in handy down in the mountains of VA when visiting family.

5Gb cap....ouch that explains the overages I keep getting.....LOL I use mine tethered to the laptop for work all the time.

5GB cap applies if you have the tethering plan. Technically if you don't you should be paying for all the data used as tethering is an extra cost feature. But the truth of the matter is as long as you use some restraint they either can't tell or don't care.

I've been trying to locate the new software for the Tour but nothing works. I've tried the Sprintview for the Curve just for sh*ts and giggles but nope.

I haven't tried with my Tour yet, but I would assume you should be able to set it up with Windows DUN.

Tethering with my Tour at the moment. Try to find Desktop Manager v5.0.1 which has the feature built in. Its called 'IP' modem and a piece of cake to use.

I've got a simply everything data plan for the family and OCCASIONALLY tether. I have not seen any charges yet.

For example, I am importing a new cd into my iTunes. Without an internet connection, I cant get the song titles...BOOM, tether it up with my Tour and I can grab those song titles.

Connected for 6 minutes and a total of 300k transferred.
