I'll be going to Belize in April for the month. I've contacted Sprint and they said that I can pay $1.29 a minute to use my phone. I have a Pearl. When I was down there I turned my phone on and it got reception but there was a small triangle pointing up under the battery bar.

I know there are some apps to use in the states to call internationally but does anyone know a way around paying $1.29 a minute for a whole month?

At $1.29 per minute you might be better off buying a prepaid phone when you get there.

Good point about the prepaid down there. Does anyone have any experience using a Tour and a SIM card from that country?
