I have a BBCurve 8520 that was from tmobile and works pretty good with Simple Mobile, however it's old and definitely looking forward to getting one of the new BB10s phones once by the end of the month.

Now, Anyone has any ideas on how this has to be done? Do I need to buy a new one from tmobile at full price?

btw: can someone create a subforum for Simple Mobile.

    Thank you.

from what i understand, (my sister was on Simple), all it has to be is a GSM phone (sim card slot needed). and youd most likely have to pay full price for the phone since it will be from a different carrier.

Considering that they do support the Bold 9900 4G, BB10 devices shouldn't be any issue on their network. While initially they may not officially support the BB10 devices, they will test it on their network in order to be able to support the devices on their network. I'm just hoping that we'll be able to get an unlocked GSM at launch and we don't have to wait too long. One thing to note is that the BB10 devices will use the smaller micro SIM so you will either need to have the SIM card cut to size or buy a new SIM card and have everything transferred over to it.

I can't wait to find out the answers also, I would switch carriers to be on Simple.

looks like they willwork, most likely without LTE unless simple mobile gets the rights to use it. I'm thinking trying to get a mobility or wind mobile version z10 and try it out in the next week or so. especially since they have the same bands as simple/tmobile

I can also confirm that Simple Mobile works with BB10. I left the BlackBerry World for Android in 2009 and now I'm back with a recently purchased unlocked Verizon Z30 (thanks to eBay). Pleased with the carrier service (constant 4G) and beyond please with my BlackBerry. I'm happy to be back. My advice to you...go for it!

I can confirm my Z10 works fine with Simple. I recommend getting the STL-100-3 unlocked from shopblackberry.com as it will have the 1700Mhz band for T-Mobile HSPA+.

Yes BB10 phones work with Simple mobile. I had a T-Mobile Z10, just slip the sim in and your good. Just make sure phone is unlocked.
