I can't send or receive email either. KS, USA. Same timeframe. Diagnostic rpt shows no conn to BIS. Registering doesn't help.

    Outage???

Per BB tech support at 8:07 ET, widespread service outage for North America and Latin America with no estimate restoration time. No further action necessary on customers' part until restoring service.

Last received Emails, Ottawa, 2:30AM July 12th. You'd think Blackberry would post something on their website indicating there is a problem. Dumb!!!!

Same problem in Nashville. Does the CEO of BlackBerry wake up and get a coffee and then see that there is an outage on some kind of status dashboard...or, is he kept in the dark like the rest of us? If he isn't, does he muse that 'we should let people know' as he takes a sip...only to remember that there is some good reason for not doing that...what was it again?...perhaps 'it's really hard to put up a notice or send out a bbm alert,' or 'that would make us look bad and people might buy fewer BlackBerries.' Dunno.

Email is fine for me in Toronto. Both on my BlackBerry Curve and my Z10. BBM I'd all working as well.

Everything is A OK in Montreal
    Over wifi or LTE
Could be due to the rain in Toronto? But shouldn't be an issue.
Most likely carrier related because if Toronto goes down, most likely Montreal will be affected also

There are other threads open about a BIS outage. Seems to be resolved now.
But for those that think it is fishy, keep up the good work. Denial.

I can assure you it's not. I heard about it when on the phone with Verizon. Just b/c BB rarely makes it official that it's happening doesn't make it not so. At any rate, all my emails are coming back from 11 p.m. last night.

Had the same problem here as well (North Bay, ON). It seems to have resolved itself within the past half hour. My Torch was not receiving e-mails on both accounts it associates with (Gmail for each). I was the only one in the office experiencing this in my office, though.

Oddly enough, I also seem to no longer have access to my Rogers BIS account. Attempting to log in with my credentials has failed. I'll have to look into that later on...

I just checked with a few friends in GTA and east coast.
Seems to be a Rogers problem?

And this is the advantage of killing off BIS. No reliance on a third party datacenter. Communications continues uninterrupted.
