I just ran the speedtest on my Bold- Wifi had no issues.

    On 3g I had a maximum speed of 95.97kbits/second

Seems slow to me but I've never used a BB until this one.. is it average?

if not, how do I fix it.

Can't comment as to the 3G speed but the wifi will obviously be whatever your isp connection speed is. Wifi on the blackberry is the same speed as on a pc.

Just ran my tests again and noticed that at the beginning, there appears to be a burst speed that persists as the max speed. Watch while the download and upload are progressing and you may see that it's less than the max speed on average. This is on Rogers 3G me.

    Others findings?

Just tried this morning and got 200.83 down and 82.23 up. This is from the same location as last night - my couch . Again, this is an average, not what the max reported.

I wonder if it's like DSL internet where the more load on the tower, the slower the result. I'll try it today while out on the road

Apparently downloading a new OS makes a big difference. My max speed down was 162 and up was 125. I was on .167 and upgraded to .224 last night.
