I signed a contract with Rogers 2 months ago, bought the Bold 9000 for $250.

What do you know, 2 months later, Rogers sells the Bold 9000 for $100 and the Bold 9700 for $300. Is there any chance I can either:

    A) Get my $150 back for my Bold 9000
    B) Upgrade my Bold 9000 --> 9700 by paying the difference.

    Talk about bad timing...

That said, when a particular device makes it to Rogers is often unclear and seems to vary from almost immediately after the product comes to market to over a year....

Besides, Rogers has recently changed their return policy on devices. It used to be 30 days or 30 minutes of airtime (whichever comes first) and that's been dropped to 30 days/15 minutes - so one's time to see if the device will work for you / change for a different model has been dramatically reduced.

Meanwhile, imagine the frustration for some Rogers subscribers when they may have recently taken on a contract for a 9000 (at $299) or 8900 ($199) and run thru their 15 minutes in a couple of days, only to find the next week these devices are being flogged at $99 and $79.

Talk to Rogers, but they hold all the cards....

    9700 is $250, no?

Either way, give them a call and see what happens - though I doubt either A/B are a possibility
