so since yesterday i havent been able to send or receive emails or browse the web and i thought it has something to do with my replacement tour i got 2 days ago but i just called VZW and the rep said that RIM's serves crashed and no one is able to do either of these things. anyone hear anything about this?!?!?
Yeah, if you look at the Crackberry homepage it talks about this issue. Apparently its going on in North America and its not related to all carriers. I have Verizon and my service is down (can't send/receive email/ etc.) it can be down for 3 hours until 1 day...boo!
My service is down... been down since around noon for me. I'm constantly switching between 1x, 1xev, and 1XEV. But even in 1XEV, it doesn't stay long enough for data to actually be transmitted.
Anyway, I thought it was just my phone! Glad it's not.
Oddly, reading your thread makes me feel much better. Lost connection to all three of my IM programs (Yahoo, AIM, gtalk, all with the same "connection error 65") and internet and email (BES) as well. Researched, tried, and/or discarded many ideas & threads until stumbling on this one. Having the RIM servers down stinks, no question, but least it's not some arcane nonsense with just my device or connectivity!
ya this is gettin a little annoying. im pretty new to blackberry, only 5 months, but this is just getting old and tired. i've noticed this happening more in the last 2 or 3 months. I dont remember having this much downtime when i first got it, but then again i'm pretty new to the scene. lol
im gonna sue rim for ruining all my friendships, i haven't had a single response to any bbm's in the last 2 days and ive been punching everybody in the face before they can tell me they haven't received anything......thanks RIM!!!!!!!!
This has become pretty big news now. Most major NYC news networks ran the story near the top of the hour. These outages are becoming pathetic and embarrassing on the part of RIM...
I saw someone mention Operamini was working but I don't have that installed but I had, on a whim, installed Bolt but never ran it. It worked. I was reading about HP's digicam not tracking black faces but tracking white faces - odd news for sure.
