Can the Verizon BB Storm SIMS card be replaced with a prepaid Vodaphone SIMS card when one is in Australia? The phone currently works in Australia on the Verizon global plan but it is costing me $4.99 per month AND I have to pay roaming rate of 90 cents/min to eitehr call the US or receive calls from the US. It feels like Verizon is ripping me off! I am currently in Sydney, Australia.

Yes you can use a pre-paid SIM card, but first you'll have to get your Storm unlocked. Verizon can unlock it for you for free.
