    Just for kicks, I put a Project Fi SIM card into my Passport. Calls work. Data does not. I haven't texted. But am guessing they'll go through.

    Does PF have its own APNs and if so, have you tried checking if they're programmed in?

    Not sure about APNs. I am using it full time on my Nexus 5 and it has full service (not sure if it connects to sprint towers).

    There are only 3 devices that Fi supposedly works on. I did the work around. Activated the sim card on a Nexus 5X, then placed it into a factory wiped Nexus 5. So maybe APNs get loaded onto certain devices?

    I'll look into this when I have more time. Maybe contact Fi customer service. I haven't seen much on the internet regarding people putting the SIM into non-Nexus devices.

    I'm not exactly sure if this is still valid (older OS or what not,) but have you tried looking for APNs as described in the support doc? Then you would have to try and manually type them in on the Passport.

    I wonder if others have tried this on other Android phones and what their results were. Plus with Samsung now selling carrier ambivalent S7 phones, I wonder how long Google is going to be able to monopolize PF. How is that even legal in the first place??

    Someone in the Android central forums wrote that everything works on their Passport, except vvm notifications.
