Has there been any official confirmation that Sprint will carry the Priv? I hate the LG Mach I'm currently using (which I'm only using because my BlackBerry Bold got too old and broken-down to keep using).

Checked with my Sprint store and advised would offer....he commented on the many inquiries he has had daily. Keeping fingers crossed! If they don't, may consider changing carrier.

I spoke with someone at Sprint a couple of months ago and he told me that Sprint will be carrying the Venice (pre-Priv naming). I called back about a week and a half ago, and the rep hadn't even heard of the device. He told me to hold on so that he could look for more information. When he got back on the phone, he told me that it looks like it will be released on all 4 carriers. I asked if he was getting this information from internal documents. He told me that since he had no internal information, that he was providing me with information he found on CrackBerry.com via Google!!!!! I spoke with them again today about an issue with another phone on my plan and asked again. There was no information available.

In the blog post about the Priv passing through the FCC, there were only 3 devices listed. I assume that one is the unlocked ShopBlackberry.com one. I assume that the other 2 are AT&T and Verizon (or maybe T-Mobile if they want their own instead of people bringing an unlocked Priv). I have no idea which one would or could be the Sprint variant, but it's not looking good. Unless BlackBerry hasn't yet released the CDMA versions to the FCC for testing yet because Verizon and Sprint are planning to launch much later, I'm beginning to think it's the same stuff all over again!

Nope, looking more and more like I'll be ditching Sprint next years.

I tinkered with my plan and complained about the lack of BB devices. The supervisor called me back the next day and although was sympathetic (I go back to Nextel), was noncommittal... I asked her to advise up the chain that the lack of BB is a deal killer for me. When my beloved Q10 kicks it, I (and our account) will be bye-bye. Ciao!

So the consensus seems to be we're screwed. This will make what, 4 or 5 BlackBerry devices in a row that Sprint won't be giving us?

To be honest, no one really knows, maybe in a couple of weeks you get a great surprise... but if the past says something, just grab a chair and be prepared to wait...

At least from what I read in one of the other forums...the -5 variant appears to have the Sprint LTE bands. Hopefully, they follow through...given the statements from BlackBerry did confirm a few months ago that it was coming to all US carriers.

Didn't John Chen say all major US carriers will offer it? Is Sprint still considered major US carrier?

    BlackBerry 10 or nothing!
I remember reading that but I wasn't sure it came from Chen. I had some hope we'd get it since it's an Android device and not BB10.

Not due for an upgrade for around a year, but if it comes out on Sprint, may pick one up.

With the announcement of the Priv on Verizon today, I think it looks good for Sprint. Or, worst case I have to jump ship to Verizon (hopefully not)

I will be going to AT&T when my contract finishes in a month. If Sprint gets the Priv, I will stay put. The BlackBerry /Sprint issue has bugged me for a long time.

OK, some good news. There is very definitely evidence of a Priv for Sprint (STV100-5), the question is if it comes out
