I don't believe that any carriers will be pushing out updates for BlackBerry 10 any time soon, if at all. It appears BlackBerry is on the verge of not supporting BB10, especially if the Priv is generating revenue.
I hope this isn't the case, but....
I have been with BlackBerry for a very long time and I really don't want any other operating system on the market.

When BlackBerry releases their 10.3.3 update, I expect most non-US Carriers will release it right away. With the US Carriers... who knows.

Regardless of if the PRIV generates profits... it was clear that BB10 was not. So there just was no reason to keep throwing money at BB10. BlackBerry will support BB10 for at least another year (I expect more).... but they have only promised 10.3.3 and 10.3.4, which are minor updates.

But you can keep using BB10 for years to come... to one degree or another.

I am not sure about the Classic, but the last update pushed by AT&T for my unlocked Z30 was 10.3.2.2876 (SR 10.3.2.2836).

My understanding is that they are still selling them to government based on security and that is what the 10.3.3 and 4 are about. With them out of the consumer population they might be even more secure. Selling to governments requires support agreements for reasonable time. But that does not necessarily mean they would support consumers.

I visited the NSA cryptology museum recently. They have on display old cell phones with name General Signal" that are clearly modified BlackBerry devices of 10 years or more ago. That sort of thing is a very small but very high priced market. I could see BlackBerry continuing BBOs10 for that market outside of public awareness .

If I have an unlocked Passport SE on AT&T, do I have to remove my sim card to get updates or it will get the updates with the sim card in?

I have been wondering the same thing as I am also on an unlocked passport (butOG) version. I tried removing Sim to see if there were any updates pushed, sadly no sale. I'm afraid will have to go autoloader route. Pain in my ***!

For what's it's worth, I was just in an AT&T company store about an hour ago. The rep I spoke with went ahead and reviewed the latest BB-related internal bulletins. There was one dated today that spoke of an imminent 10.3.3 OTA update - I think 10.3.3.2205. That would be good news indeed!

No, still on 10.3.2.858 according to BBVE. Have only done OTA updates, have been in no hurry to move ahead of the carrier, and haven't really felt that I've missed anything either. It helps that my Passport has been very stable too on the particular releases AT&T has pushed out.

They did that couple of years ago, then laid off all the BB10 personnel. Not sure who you're expecting to update BB10 anymore.
