Now that Boost officially has the BEST BlackBerry plan ever to hit the US- how come they don't have a section here on the board??

    $60/month unlimited EVERYTHING!

I almost signed up today, but they're only allowing their $250 8330. I just can't justify that much for an old phone. How long until you get it?

a boost section is definitely needed - people have been running 8330s, 9630s, etc for a while. and now the cdma boostberry is finally official!

I agree! I am here as a new BB owner and new to Boost. Now with Boost having its own BB that operate on 5.0 unlike prior 8330's, there may be a lot of carrier specific issues and questions that arise.

I think there should be a boost section as well. Since they now go through RIMS servers they should have one.

I think there should be a seperate prepaid section with all the pre paid carriers getting there own pre paid sub sections. Im getting my BBCurve soon. And they are starting out with the Curve. Who knows what other BB's they will be adding to thier line up soon??

Having never owned a smartphone the 8330 is AMAZING. And we definitely need a boost section, someplace to call our own. =)

To those who are using the Boost 8330:How do you like it? How much room to you have for apps? I've read OS 5.0 takes up a lot of memory. How well does RIM's servers work on Boost's network? I agree, there should be a Boost Forum now that they officially offer Blackberry.

If boost gets a forum so should metro. Hasn't metro been around longer than boost?

Not sure. However I heard of Boost years before I found out about Metro. Boost does need a sub forum off of Sprint. For realzzz.

I also think that Boost needs at least a sub-forum of their own. I just purchased a Boost 8330. I'm waiting untill my current Boost plan is up(the 25th) and then hopefully porting my number over to the BB. I have heard that some people have had problems with this. Does anyone have any advice?

UPDATE:The porting process took about 40 minutes. I was about 5 minutes in to the call when the CSR asked what phone I would be activating. I said a Boost-branded BB. He said "Are you sure it is a Boost phone?" When I said yes, he transfered me to a "BB specialist" She had me go through an activation procedure, put me on hold for 20 minutes and then informed me that the computers were down and she would'nt be able to activate the phone and to call back in 24 hours. Just as she was about to end the call, she said her computer showed it going through and she was able to complete the activation. A bit of a bumpy ride.

Boost Forum! Boost forum! Boost forum!!

I get tired of reading time and time again of people replying with "why don't you try and search the forums first before asking"...well you know what...I search and search and Boost stuff is ALL over the freakin place! And with no forum...we have to ask ALL over the place.

SO give us a break! Most read before asking...but being the red headed step children that we are...treat us a little better would ya!

BOOST FORUM! BOOST FORUM! BOOST FORUM!!

I started out on a contract service several years ago with an 8330 and even went through some length of time beta testing the now (thankfully so) revamped storm which at the time was a pos . I loved checking out the unofficial hybrid os codes that were being made avail. Here.
There seem to be a lot of experienced users playing with Boost even though we are having to improvise.
    PLLLLEEEEZZZZ!
    Crackberry give us a forum.

I agree...Boost definitely needs its own forum. For all those who asked, the 8330 from Boost is a GREAT Blackberry device with all the bells ~n~ whistles that the contract carriers phones have! )

I don't see any usage problems with 5.0 OS but I do seem to get more request timed out messages and error 500 error 503 incidents.
But then again I am still hoping for some code changes that will allow more storage in sd mem and the grail apps that will live and run from the card as well.

'Been thinking about this one for a while. All I know about the metro deal is that they wanted to sell the 8330 for around 500 bucks and I did indeed walk away quickly from that on. I really think boost users should have a seperate forum which would include not only the 8330 but the adaptations like the re-worked 8350i or the boostberry.

Boost member for acouple years with mostly motorolas and it seems I'm always updating my phone. My 8830 is the 2nd flashed BB I've tried out (7520 was 1st) and I'm having SMS texting issues. It seems I can't open them. When I try it saids something about "media mail @boostmobile.com" and includes a link, after I hit the link it said something about not being "authorized" or it say "server error". Is there an app to turn SMS into MMS , is that possible?

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.come

P.S.> After some more reading here & elsewhere,it's my MMS text that I can't open,my SMS is just fine.I called Boost's CS today about the text issue, she said the network was "having problems" & I'd have to wait for it to be corrected.

    P.S.S After giving up on the 7520 , I got another " flashed " BB , the 8830 World Edition ( that later fell in sauce @ work ) . I now use the " official " Boost 8330 & I love it !
