Fyi, Wind is selling the new "0B-P5" 3 way SiM cards now. It's a regular, micro, and nano SiM card; all in one.

Hopefully, there's some performance upgrades built into it too.

Performance upgrades? What is the expectation? I never really expected "performance" from a SIM, only to hold data.

Better signal, that's an RF receiver thing. Adding compatibility is not a "performance" metric.

Sim cards only connect your phone to the carrier network and do NOT improve the phone at all, be it hardware or software. If the sim is a three way, that means it has two adapters inside it. It's a nano sim, inside a micro and standard SIM adapter.

How about having NFC enabled? Why are they charging $25 for something not even NFC enabled?

If sim cards were capable of storing multiple numbers, emails and other information together with a picture to sim contacts that would be useful

I don't think sim cards have anything to do with whether your phone is capable of NFC. I've used NFC and the Tim Hortons app on both my z10 and z30 (micro sim), with no problems. I just have to go into settings/networks and connections to enable it.

Yes and no, but it's best to test it out to see. Never hurts right?

NFC enabled SIM cards have some sort of security built in to protect your credit card data.

In order to use NFC for credit card payments (Like Scotia VISA cards for example) you need a secure or NFC SIM. Wind's are not capable of this.
