I just got my passport what's the easiest way to get it setup with TMO. I currently have a TMO Q10, I'm planning on getting a new SIM and size adapter so I can switch back to my Q10 if I have any issues.

I want my visual VM and LTE to work (too bad about WFC).

    Any pointers would be appreciated.

Just put in a Tmo SIM and activate it? Make sure you have VVM on your plan (I think you have to ask). Otherwise I believe the Passport is good to go.

I just got a nano SIM from a T-Mobile store and put it in. Everything worked and I got a software update for my Passport.

Wait... what update did you get simply by installing a Tmo SIM? ?

Love the device, too bad I have the worst home service. How easy is it to get them to send me their signal booster?

Be careful using sim adapters. They tend to get caught on the pins and damage them

    WiFi Calling. LOL

Call support, explain that service in your house is poor, and ask if they have any 4G signal boosters available. They might charge a $25 refundable deposit... not sure. If it's in stock and you get a knowledgeable rep then the process should be easy.

I just put in the SIM to get an update when the Passport was new.

I also had poor 4G Lte service in my house. I called and they sent me a signal booster which works great! Easy set up, but you must be able to get a bar or two of service in the location where you put the repeater.

Reminder that the Cell-Fi repeater only boosts 2G GSM, 2.5G EDGE, and 3G/4G UMTS. It will not boost a 4G LTE signal.

Called TMO to get a cel-fi and after a 2nd round of tech talks ended up getting one, it should be here in around 7 days.

The 2nd guy I talked to seemed impressed when he googled the phone. Hopefully someday in the future TMO and BB will play nice again, I want my WFC back!

I don't care how they do it, I just hope they play nice again and will get WFC working. Still, the passport is supposed to have great reception so that might make up for lack of WFC in many situations. At home I have great signal so it's bot needed that much.

I don't know how or why it works, but I know I used to get one bar of 4G Lte in my basement and now I get 4 or 5 bars. It has made a real difference in my house.

The new booster is 4G LTE.
