    Lol....building as we speak.
Awesome! Is this a hybrid you'll be releasing? Cause I'm still on .662 and want to go back to .643 and add a hybrid to it.

With the new OS (5.0.0.624) I seem to have lost the voice mail notification. Now I do know if someone left a message or not. Is there a fix for this? Thanks

Haven't heard of that happening before. Check your settings, then do a battery pull.

What are the differences between .643 and .662?

.662 has simply been more stable. Battery lasts longer. No memory leak. Gained some memory. Better signal stability. Bluetooth, for me, works better and is quicker with .662. Load up time is about the same as the others. NO BROWSER CLICK ISSUE.

Thanks. I'm assuming you just delete the vendor file before installing this on a Sprint tour, correct?

Just goes to show everyone's Tour likes different OS's. I would suggest trying .643 and .662 and see which one your Tour likes better. For me it was .643.

After you download the file you have to install it on your computer.

I did that??? I double clicked on the desktop icon where it was downloaded from the internet and then went through the process. Is it located somewhere else on my computer after I downloaded it???

    Thanks
Here is a detailed step-by-step, start to finish:
    1) Download the OS installation file
    2) If you downloaded through the link I posted, then find "9630AMEA_PBr5.0.0_rel1091_PL4.2.0.294_A5.0.0.643_ _ Verizon_.exe" on your computer and double click on it, then follow the prompts until it is installed successfully onto your PC
    3) Connect your Blackberry to your PC via USB cable
    4) Navigate to the folder "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader" on your computer, then double click on the program "apploader.exe"
    5) A screen will pop up saying it is connecting to your device, and if you have a password set on your phone it will ask you to enter it here
    6) It should now list the new OS and all apps that are being upgraded; click the appropriate "Next" or "Install" buttons until you see a progress bar and the screen says it is updating/installing your OS

Thank you very much for your detailed setup guide. I thought I was doing it correctly. However, when I connect my device and load apploader it does not list the new OS??? I then go and click the "add" button to add it to the list; find it and double click to install on the list. That is when I receive the error message. So for some reason it is not loading and/or being listed properly in my apploader from the beginning. Do you know hwy that may be?

Sorry for this step-by-step questions, but for some reason it is not loading properly and/or being recognized on my computer when downloaded, etc.

    Many thanks......
The "Add" button is for adding apps to be installed, you cannot use this button to install the OS. You need to run the program "9630AMEA_PBr5.0.0_rel1091_PL4.2.0.294_A5.0.0. 643_ _ Verizon_.exe" in Windows first, so it will install all the OS files onto your computer. After you do that the OS will automatically show up when you run "apploader.exe".

That is the point I am trying to make. After installing the program file onto Windows it shows up in my program files, but not under the apploader program. When I run through the apploader just my 5 or 6 apps show up in the list, not the .643 exe file. Don't know what could be happening??? It is frustrating because I think I am doing everything correctly and pretty computer literate......
Ya, it will say something like Blackberry OS 5.0 at the top and list your apps after that. You don't need to select anything, just click the Next or Install button at the bottom of that screen and it will install automatically.

Don't you want loader.exe and not apploader?

Oops, yeah it is called loader.exe not apploader.exe - apploader is just the directory.

Also I found another thread you can look through if you're still having trouble: http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=440238

I'm not a big fan of this latest OS release from Sprint. It is taking almost two minutes longer to reboot, signal strength fluctuates way to much and I also had the browser click issue. Right now I'm going to stick with .484, I've had no problems since installing it my battery life is good and memory is pretty stable. I haven't tried a complete wipe then install like some suggested .... Maybe when I get some free time, but until then I'll stick with my trusty .484.

I have used BBSAK to install several leaked OS's with no problem. You need to download it from RIMGEEKS site. It allows you to back up your third party apps then just delete vendor file and Load OS.
