what was this thread about again?
Not being illegal doesn't make something ethical, moral or right. I'm no big fan of Verizon's corporate policies, but I certainly understand their desire to close this loophole that is costing them - and in the long run, costing us all - a lot of money. So shame on the people who took advantage of that loophole, and they're probably the ones most vehemently opposed to it. If they're looking for sympathy now that Verizon has wised up and closed it, they need to look in the dictionary between "sex" and "syphillis".
Yes, I am intelligent enough to know that the lowest common denominator takes many forms. Funny that you neglected to include the government in that list. :D
Touche, and I appreciate the interesting discussion. :)
No flame-throwers here.
I am just thrilled to be watching it, instead of being the center of attention. :D

Wow. All this ruckus over a $350 ETF that can so easily be avoided by: 1) finishing out your contract as you agreed to when you signed it, or 2) if you already have a contract with VZ just pay full price for your phones from now on and stay in your old contract.

Such a helpful post, thanks!
All I'm trying to say is don't make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Wow thread ressurection or what? This thing was over a month old...
For the most part, I think that the normal customer wont notice the difference at all... Not everyone goes around cancelling their plans before they end..
Bummed that now I can't sell BOGO devices anymore. Oh well.

You are exactly right! VZW put the opportunity out there and those willing to make money by selling a device that they obtained completely legally is by no means wrong!
If I had BOGO shoes from a dept store and sold the free pair on eBay and made $100 no one would bat an eye. Uhg.
