I hope Sprint gets either a Bold variant, or a an 8900 (Javelin) variant. I'm not going to hold my breath though. I'm willing to bet $ that Sprint won't come out with anything new until 2nd quarter '09.
Anyone Have Any Guesses Or Rumors About New Bb's Coming To Sprint!?
Currently the newest evice coming out for Sprint is the 8350i but there is talk coming to us that there are 2 new BB coming out for Sprint in the early part of 09 but nothing official yet.
Sprint fails in the blackberry new device department but they have been releasing some nice phones touch diamond pro, lg lotus, etc...all new. They have the touch pro coming soon.
I would love to see the javelin on Sprint soon...but they are not in bed with rim they are sleeping with htc.
Sometimes I wish I had a different carrier, just so that I could get the latest and nicest new toys, I mean blackberries....BUT, I've been with Verizon (for 4 years) and they nickled and dimed me, and I had Cingular (before the ATT merger), and their name was true....they had a CINGULAR (singular) tower....lost my reception everytime I farted. Sprint at least has the best pricing. For 3 phones, I have the simply everything plan, and if I were to have the same setup with any other carrier, I'd be spending an additional $150-200 a month total. I'd LOVE to see the Bold or the Storm or a 3G Javelin, maybe next summer.
If Sprint was smart they would be more up to par on the BB releases. Just look at how good the 8330 did when it was released. They couldn't keep them on the shelves! Blackberry + EVDO = very efficient device. I can't believe Sprint starves us of this wonderful combination! Lol

RIM not Sprint doesnt release CDMA phones til well after GSM, and YES Verizon is in this same boat....
The Storm was slated to go to ATT first following the convention that RIM releases GSM first....
Problem is RIM did not want to put the Storm on the same carrier as the Iphone, and with this being 3G phone, T-MO was out.
PLEASE STOP MAKING IT SEEM LIKE SPRINT HAS A CHOICE....Verizon, Sprint, Alltel are all in the same boat when it comes to RIM.
The Bold and Javelin and Kickstart wont be on VZW or Alltel either for quite some time.
So.....why wouldn't RIM release to Verizon (biggest network) and Sprint (one of the bigger networks) first, instead of waiting for AT&T to get their s*** together? RIM could be making BANK with the release of a CDMA Bold or 8900 right now.
Because they have an exclusivity agreement in place with ATT, and its just traditional for RIM to release GSM first, they always have and probably always will....The Bold and Javelin's exclusivity clock doesnt start ticking until ATT has offically released them...
If ATT had released the Bold by June'08 like it was intended, CDMA carriers would've probably had their versions released by X-mas....But since it was pushed, CDMA probably wont get them released until March'09....
And if ATT wasnt dedicated to the 3G Iphone, the STORM would be released on ATT not VZW....RIM loves GSM.
Again Sprint doesnt have a Say in this...
Outside of Blackberry, Sprint releases eveyother phone way ahead of ATT and Verizon.
