I'm currently on a month to month plan with VZW using my old trusty 8830. Currently on the 450 unlimited data and messaging plan for $99.99/month with the $15/month tether add-on. I've tried to upgrade my phone online by purchasing the S2 at the 2 year contract price, however when I reach check out, it shows the "new" plan as being the same as the old. It still shows as a month to month plan despite my choice of the 2 yr contract price with the S2.
I'm assuming VZW will catch this and update my plan? The reason I ask is because I should receive a corporate discount, but it's only applicable on a 2 year contract, not a month to month.
I was hoping to avoid calling in, but is that my only choice to make sure this gets handled correctly?
If it's giving you the phone at a discounted rate, it will add the contract. If it's asking you to pay $500+ dollars it will not accept the contract. The website is something to be improved on, IMO.
