Hi. I currently use as my secondary phone a Nexus 4, with a prepaid T-Mobile SIM card, the one with unlimited data and 100 voice minutes a month. If I were to plop the SIM into a Z30, would I be able to take advantage of T-Mobile's LTE bands?

I don't see why not! I purchased a prepaid one at walmart and LTE worked right away! Provided you have the right model, of course.

LTE is not allowed for the MVNOs, but I don't see why prepaid can't use it.

I think prepaid lacks either the hot spot or tether.

The prepaid plans don't lack anything. I have a prepaid plan and I hotspot all the time.

I don't think this is still the case. Straight Talk, I believe, has access to TMO LTE.

+1 for lte on T-Mobile. I just activated my $30 prepaid plan / sim a few days ago and it's been pretty good so far. Just warning u, coverage is not the greatest (where I live in NJ anyways) I was a longtime Verizon wireless iPhone user but I'm doing this for the flexibility, not the coverage.

The one that gets you 5gb of data on LTE with hotspot? Haven't seen a better deal!

Thanks, everyone, for your valuable input. I don't currently use hotspot with my Nexus 4. Didn't know I could. Is it easy to do with the Z30?
