I want a Bold 9700
I've been with AT&T for over 15 years and I want to upgrade 2 Curves to Bold 9700s. I'm about 7 months from contract renewal again. I called to ask about upgrading both phones. I was given the non-contract price. Is there anything I can do about that? I told the guy on the phone I was ready to cancel both lines to go to T-Mobile to get it for $199. Is AT&T ready to give up 2 lines over 7 months of contract? After 15 years, it's not like i'm carrier hopping. But I'm willing to cancel and go to T-Mobile if they can't get me the contract price for the 9700. Is there anything I can do about this or should I just hit the T-Mo store today? Is there a way a rep can override the 7 months to get me the contract price? Would I have better luck if I went in to the store vs. over the phone?
Thanks,
Bill

I was told by a supervisor that you will have to pay a minimum of an additional $75 per upgrade if you want to do an early upgrade. They no longer are able to move your upgrade date up in the system or override the system to give you the two-year upgrade price when you're not eligible. They will still charge you this extra upgrade for the early upgrade option, regardless if you call, go online, or go in the store.
