Hey guys,

I just bought a Bold 9700 and I want to use it with my current Fido contract. I have CityFido and the 6GB data plan from the iPhone I just smashed and I want to use the Blackberry to its full capabilities. Right now I am not getting a PIN for BBM, internet wont work, etc.

Any help would be really appreciated!

you have the 6gb for 30$ internet? that plan dont support blackberrys u have to change it to the 1gb 30$ plan and tell them u want to use it with a blackberry.

my question is how do i register it? if it is an unlocked phone can i just call and register it like a normal blackberry or is there a process i have to go through?

You can go to fido.blackberry.com to set up your pin and to set up your email accounts. You do need to have a blackberry data plan to be able to recieve blackberry services though.

i just called fido told them im using an unlocked blackberry 9700 and they switched my plan from my 6gb iphone plan to the 1gb blackberry plan and my berry started working in like 15 minutes i had BBM and email and everything going perfectly fine
