So recently friends are telling me when I call, instead of my name (caller ID) appearing on their phone, a logo for an auto parts store appears. Finally I called my land line, and sure enough, I was now an auto parts store. So a call to t-mo tech and the guy says this biz must have had my number at one time and... whatever. So, short version, he submits a slight variation of my name + same number to the Magical Company that Controls All Numbers which will force it to be corrected. However, just in case -- and if I ever need to do it myself -- he gives me an email that will allow me to submit a number... any number... and change that caller ID.

Am now trying to figure out how to raise hell with this...

It pays to punch you phone number into Google. I found some oddball website that had my mobile number. I got them to remove it. Many of these databases with your phone number or other personal ID will remove the data, but with varying levels of pain (effort).
