So I have had a Pearl for the last year. First smart phone. I just bought a Pixi from best buy. After a day and a half, I really miss the blackberry OS, which was very intuitive. On the flip side, the Pixi is super fast. I can open PDF's and zoom in and out quickly without any lag. Flipping between photos is very snappy as well. I want to go back to a blackberry but I am really in love with the step up in speed that the pixi gives me. How do blackberries handle PDF's and large documents/media. On my Pearl I found looking through large documents to be unbearably slow, and never even tried opening a PDF with it.

Nevermind, I found this youtube review.

To be honest, I'm disappointed with how it handled the PDF reading on there.

When I used to use whatever native app is in the bb os to view pdfs sometimes I couldn't even open big ones. Now I'm using the docs to go pdf viewer and it can handle anything you throw at it with usable speed.
