I'm considering trying ATT but would like input on they're coverage in Northern New England, rural areas including VT, New Hampshire and Northwestern and Northern Maine.

Thanks in advance for your input!

Verizon has the best coverage up there. Sprint is ok, but let's you roam (as you know already). The GSM carriers are spotty at best in Maine, NH, and Vermont.

I would do coverage checks on sensorly.com as well. You can keep it broad or get as specific with the location as you like.

I recall Vermont being one of the markets where AT&T has a band 5 LTE network. That's pretty good: low enough frequency (850 MHz,) but faster than band 17 (700 MHz.)
