holy moly tmo gave me someone else's number
- i just activated a 2nd line with tmo a week ago, and the crackheads gave me someone else's number!
when i call my number from any tmo phone, my phone rings. from any other line (land line, att, sprint whatever) someone else answers and wonders why they keep getting my calls!
gonna have to have a lil talk with tmo tomorrow.09-12-08 06:07 AMLike 0 - I know tmobile likes to recycle old numbers. I live in vegas and I get calls from an apartment complex in cali all the time. They leave a message for some vietnamese guy or girl all the time. That and blockbuster calls for the same person too.

- Heh, it does seem a little silly that you would have to explain this problem multiple times... it's not that confusing.09-12-08 04:33 PMLike 0
- I just came to the conclusion that its useless to try to say otherwise...so i just treat the statements like i would an Alzheimer's patient...
"Yes Grandpa Joe, we're going to Al's Electronics to see one of those new colorized television sets today, won't that be fun!"09-12-08 04:35 PMLike 0 - ChrisySeeker of the Way
give em the benefit of the doubt. maybe they were preoccupied. maybe their cat just died or something. you never know. i mean, we're all doofuses at times!09-12-08 04:35 PMLike 0 - uncheels23Jedi Masteri had to get a new number once because they gave me an old landline that for some reason people from att or sprint could not call me09-12-08 04:40 PMLike 0
- I guess I'm just lucky that the 2 reps I happen to speak to were idiots. First the store rep explained the situation. Then I explained the situation. He 'troubleshoots' took a bunch of notes and said he had to transfer me to 2nd level for troubleshooting after 20 minutes on the phone. He transfer me, waited on the line for 10 minutes for someone to pick up. 2nd rep verifies my info again. She has no idea what's going on. I explain the problem to rep2, she also 'troubleshoots' for another 10 minutes to confirm what the shore rep and phone rep1 confirmed. Proceeds to open a trouble ticket. I tell her the same thing I tell rep1. Change my number. She puts me on hold for another 5 to speak to her sup and finally decides the best solution is to give me a new number. The first guy couldn't do this? What annoyed me the most is rep1 did his troubleshooting, took his notes and cold transfered me to rep2 who has no idea what's going on. That's called dropping the ball and not taking ownership of the service call.

I had to call the technical support number. Then to complicate things, the phone started working, but no text messages. I had to get more technical support after that. I would say call your service provider for help, but they don't seem competent. Sorry T-mob cb'ers if you read this09-12-08 05:10 PMLike 0

You always have to take into account that you are dealing with a person and that people are gonna be who they are no matter how much training they receive or no matter how many times they have been told to transfer the call if its above their level of expertise.09-12-08 05:27 PMLike 0 - Calidiva are you an in store rep or a call center rep? Just curious.
Ps. The in store rep who called customer service and explained the issue and troubleshooting steps she did and asked for a number change was rolling her eyes along with her manager while I was on the phone with both CSR's

- No need to be sorry...the same people that you guys deal with in Customer Service are the exact same ones we deal with. If I'm lucky and dealing with something difficult I get a rep who knows their stuff or can at least own up to the fact that they dont know how to approach the problem and directs me to someone who can help me. Then there are the reps you get who swear they know exactly what they're talking about and really have no clue, those are the ones that irk the isht out of me and if they wont transfer me to someone else i just hang up and hope i get somebody knowledgeable the next try.
