    A friend gave me his old BB8830WE from sprint so I could use it out of the country. I purchased an unlock code from carrier unlock.

    when I went to unlock the phone, it said 0 tries left.

    Is there anything that can be done, or did I just throw away $19.95. Thanks.

    Only way will be to have the phone physically to unlock it with special software.
