I got an unlocked Vodafone Storm2 9520 as a gift from a friend in the UK. I'm on at&t. I got the device to work except it's only on EDGE and no 3G. I registered the device through BIS and sent the service books. Is there anything else I'm missing and didn't do? I called at&t too and they also sent me the service books.

No 3G with a Storm on North American GSM carriers. The radio frequencies are not the same. EDGE is all you will get.

That sucks. Just for my education. If this is the case, why does the Storm2 has GSM frequencies of 850/900/1800/1900 Mhz? Which I believe 850 and 1900 Mhz are AT&T's 3G?

The GSM frequencies or 850/900/1800/1900 but the only 3G frequency on the phone is 2100. AT&T works on 3G of UMTS/HSDPA (850/1900/2100 MHz Those above are only GSM

Thanks for the explanation. I see that you have a Storm 9530 on at&t? Is that 3G compatible on at&t?

No, it isn't and neither is the Tour 9630.
