You can get unlock code for BBs on ebay (you have to email them your IMEI). For T-Mos it can be as cheap as $5!!!

that is true, but some don't like going through the hassle of buying it off ebay. Some like communicating with the seller, having someone to answer questions for them.

Well that's not what he was referring to. Only common sense to go to the carrier the device is branded to. If its not the same one you are on at the moment that method will be useless and is why we offer these services as 3rd party vendors.
