I might be switching to a Nexus 5 from my Z30, just to see how it compares. I think I currently have a BIS plan, but I'm not sure. I share 1GB of data with another family member's Z10. Is there an way to just use my SIM card in my Z30 in the Nexus 5? Or do I need to change the plan at all?

You shouldn't have a bis plan as a z30 does not require it.

The z30 uses a micro sim. And the nexus 5 might use a nano sim. That may be your only hick up.

You are probably NOT on a BIS plan, or you should not be, as BB10 does not require BIS. You should be able to keep the same plan, there IS one small issue, the Z30 most likely uses a micro SIM and the Nexus 5 probably a nano SIM. Ok correction I just checked they BOTH use a micro SIM. UNLESS you mean the newer Nexus 5X which DOES use a nano SIM.

I meant the Nexus 5, not 5X. Both of my devices have micro SIMs. Under Service alias my Z30 does say BIS100.

umm BIS is for BBOS not BB10. BB10 doesn't have BIS.

Yes Z10-> iphone is fine. chances are you need to buy a new sim anyway. the new iphones are not going to be compatible with your old Z10 sim.

Should be fine just use regular/normal data plan ,bis is specifically for bbos

So asides with changing my sim card size i wont have to alter my monthly billing say i want to jump onto iphone instead of blackberrry? Reason im asking is on my monthly billing it says "Smart 70 BBerry"
