wish GLOBE could come up with a prepaid bis very soon. my boss also got the new blackberry curve from globe and availed the 5MB add-on service which costs P700 per month. Now he wished he should have taken the unlimited plan coz he got his bill and it reached P3400 while the unlimited plan costs only 2K. He had no choice but to wait a few more months coz it's still in the lock-in period

Your boss can upgrade to supersurf anytime if he wants to. Globe does not charge when you upgrade. They only charge when downgrading a plan with in the lock in period.

hi i'm a bb newbie and have no idea how to maximize my phone and how it really works. for example, if i use the YM application, does that use up part of my 10MB plan or is that separate?

yahoo messenger does eat up your 10mb data allocation. as long as your logged in on any messenger, you eat up your data. almost all application use up data so i'd be very carefull with what you open unless your on wifi. bbm uses data as well. your 10mb will not last a whole month especially if you surf. i use 10 mb a day.
hi.. i am also new to Black Berry world. i already activated my BIS and already subscribed BB plan from ZAIN network- Middle East. i would like to ask anyone here if you have any idea how will i be able to use my BB Messenger in the Philippines or even receiving my mails? my network says it will, but i have to use their SIM (roaming sim) since there will be free XXmb's when you roam. but what if i will use sim card from GLOBE or SMART network? would it work?
i am also planning to give my 8520 to my younger brother since i will upgrade to bold 9700, is it possible to erase all the data inside my old device? could he subscribe to BIS from any other networks in the Philippines even i already registered my device to other networks? please help guys.. please...

Yes you can use a smart prepaid BIS. They now offer it for 50 php a day. You will need an open line blackberry and have the pin released from you network. Your device has a wipe option in the settings. You can wipe it from there.

Bought a Storm2 and there's no email settings in the wizards or options. If I try the TCP option from this site, will the email settings come out or will I really have no option but to enroll to BIS? Thanks
