If you want to try international, I'd be happy to accept a video call. I'm based in the U.K. though

There's a good chance they could. I heard also that installing an OS via autoloader could "open line" your device. I don't have any confirmation on this, though.

    Posted via CB10
Openline, not sure. But it can de-brand your device. I'm using an autoloader and it used the Wind (Service Provider on Italy) Boot logo once I had my Globe phone installed with the latest autoloader, depending on the SIM you use, which I happen to be using Wind.

The Z10 has a mobile hot spot, it's functioning and turning it on/off is a piece of cake. Kaya lang nasabi ng sales representative na mahirap gamitin (probably the whole device) kasi di niya alam ang gestures. Isipin niyo nalang na it takes genius to know the gestures, kawawa naman siya.

For the 10.1 MR, still no update from the three networks.

hi everyone. I'm currently using a z10 stl100-2 with sun. I want to buy another one for my smart line and use LTE. I tried putting my smart sim on my z10 and tried to search for 4G network. It can only see globe 4G. I tried it several times but wala talaga 4G sa smart.

Was thinking smart 4G might be using different frequency.

Do you think stl100-3 or stl100-4 would work with smart 4G?

i've tried BBM video to Canada, I'm from Manila though. but with a strong wifi connection, i don't see why your friends in Carmona, Cavite and CDO will have any problems with it. i also tried skype video call and it heats up my phone. BBM video is better but skype has more reach.

It works quite well. Done it once with family in Toronto from CDO. But many times with many people from Manila to Toronto and Vice versa.

Not yet. Was just hoping i don't need it since i can see Globe4G.... plus if i have my sim changed to LTE i hear i will lose service for a few days before it reactivates. BUT if that is what needs to be done then I'll do it.

hi, guys! it's been a long time since i visited the thread and i'm here now because this Globe sales man frustrated me so badly yesterday. I was in Globe Glorietta, and I was glad to see the Z10 and Q10 front and center because of its LTE capabilities. So i was playing with a Q10 cos i want to get one for my work phone, and i heard him tell his colleague that the Z10 doesn't have mobile hotspot and that's what everyone is asking him about, it being an LTE device. so i told him yes it does have mobile hotspot and i use one with their 1799 plan. then he rebutted me by saying, "but ma'am, its not user-friendly no?" i said why? it is easy to operate. and his answer was "i'm used to apple and samsung kasi eh." talk about being biased and stupid. first of all, he should know what the phones are capable of and more importantly, how to use them. i imagine him talking to people looking at bb10 phones and going, oh let's go here to samsung or iphone. god.
Yeah, I experienced that too at the same location. Globe Glorietta is the worst of the worst Globe wireless centers. Also look at how the displayed Q10 in ther centers (MOA, Greenbelt, etc.), you can't even swipe up the screen due to the attached band surrounding the lower part of the screen. The Q10 is unusable in that manner. Really, many of Globe people are just idiots.

exactly! i told them to remove that band cos it was making the q10 unresponsive. ugh.

You use your wifi network to establish the call instead of using the phone network. In some cases wifi calling presents a more reliable way of connecting to the phone lines. Example when there is only wifi in a building and there is no cellular coverage. Subways are great examples of this.
