If you are in areas without LTE I suggest turning off the LTE radio if you can.
My sister in law had similar problems with her Galaxy. Since Smart LTE coverage is in selected areas only her phone would keep going back to 3G/H/H+ and LTE depending on the place. This seems to have resulted in heavy battery drain so I turned LTE off. My sister in law who uses the phone says battery life improved. She turns on LTE only when she streams video in an LTE covered area.
When LTE coverage expends, this won't be necessary anymore.

I don't select 4G in the network settings. I rarely go to LTE covered areas anyway.
Actually, both are pretty good. So it does not look like cellular signal is the cause of high battery drain. Have you tried disabling LTE when there is not LTE signal?
Now you have to me obsessing about my battery
Plugged in when I got to the office. Unplugged at 10:11 am @ 99% (reads full)
By 12:15 PM with very little use it dropped to 90% (one email and SMS)
By 1:36 PM with very little use it dropped to 90% (one SMS)
By 2:57 PM no use it dropped to 84%

I got sick so got stuck at home. This kept my Z10 on WiFi only. On WiFi the whole time, it has been running for 25 hours with 31% left on the battery, and I have been using it a lot.
