Hey guys. My z 10 stl100-1 and getting not do good battery life 8 hrs tops with light use and on 2g most of the time to save battery. I saw on another thread that you ca. Load a diff radio file and it helps them get 40 to 60 hrs with a single charge. Have anyone tried it? And any links for the file? I wana stop carrying extra batts chargers etc.

8 hours battery life is normal for the Philippines. Main problem here is that local telecoms have crappier signal compared to abroad. Case in point local Z10 owner brought phone to Japan. Boom instant 16 hours battery life.

Uhmmm what are you talking about? 40 to 60 hours on a single charge? Unless that's a solar panel screen or a nokia 3210, you'd be happy to get 8 hours of battery on a smartphone today.

Yes you can load a radio only signed file using sachup/sachibar, the latest version of the software allows you to do this. Use the search function in the forums and look for xsacha's sachup firmware grabber thread and read thread for instructions. For radio files, kris made a specific thread for everything leak and radio only, something like "all encompassing leak thread", look that up too.

Lastly, this process may or may not help you get better battery life but don't expect it to bring you 15 hours of charge (unless you don't use data). If it's really an inconvenience, consider getting a battery bundle from mobile1.

Buy a battery bundle. I swear by it. What I do is I have 3 batteries all in all. One in the phone and 2 spares. When the battery in the phone dies I just pop it out and put in a spare. I then load my dead battery in the battery bundle plug it into the wall and forget it. A few hours later (or when I actually get around to remembering it) I happily see my battery fully charged and my phone is still at 50 percent or so battery life sometimes more.

There you go wireless charging technology. I've never had to use my phone attached to a wire except when side loading or backing up the phone.

P.S. The third battery is for when there's no wall socket in sight or when I'm feeling particularly lazy. When this happens I just attach both my phone and a spare battery into the bundle and when I wake up full battery for two batteries. Third one then charges while I do my morning routine.

Even on idle, I doubt you can reach 60hours with the spotty coverage here in the country. Usually, if it's too good to be true, then it probably is. The max I got from mashing up 2354 with 1880 radio is 10 hours on heavy use (100++ emails, about 25-30 calls ~5mins each, browsing and social on 4G and wifi, remote file access and music playback in neutron). That's already very good. I found a couple posters from this thread on that thread so they may be able to attest to this. I am also not disputing his claim since he got screen caps from battery guru but looking at the readings, there is barely any usage and is using the phone on limited function. You can always test it yourself.

Mobile 1 sells blackberry accessories for the corect retail price that it is supposed to have. If they don't carry it yet that means no other stores in the Philippines carry it, or if they do they will charge you a premium for that.

Wait a week or so and it should be available already by then.

    Posted via CB10

Yesterday I visit the Mobile 1 store in Makati and Alabang both dont have the accessories for Q10 they have so far for Z10. I probably wait for July to come or check them back on late June.

Hey guys, thanks for your reply on my query. About battery life in my leaked OS 100-1 I get max 12-14 hours minimal use (bbm, 3G and wifi on, with occasional 4 to 5 times of not more than 5 min calls) on my wife's Z10 with official 10.1 OS updated by carrier standby time alone (LTE always on) is only 8 hrs.

Posted via CB10 on my Leaked OS Z10. Leaked BBM, leaked browser, leaked camera. Full of love out there

You can use sachibar for that, yes. But make sure you're loading a compatible radio file for your device as 100-1 has limited choices compared to 100-2/3/4.

I really cannot help you on that since you're on 100-1. I have a 100-2 which has a different radio and hwid. Fwiw, my current setup is core OS 2312/2354 on 2355 radio. I had the same core OS mixed with 1880 radio before but 2355 has even better reception = better battery.

You can read through the forums and research on threads specific to 100-1 to see what's the better radio. You'll basically find a lot of rants however, 100-1 is far behind 100-2 in terms of compatible apps, leaks and official releases. Also, you really can't gauge what's best through reading as you'll only know what works for you if you try it yourself. Perhaps serahjessa and other 100-1 users here can help you, she seems amply satisfied with her setup and the official OTA push from Smart.

There is an equivalent OS of the one I am using for 100-1 here:

The All Encompassing Beta/Leak OS Thread

You could download the autoloader or use Sachup, using MNC: 226 MCC: 010 to download the signed bar files for 2312/2354 OS. I can't attest to the performance of the OS as I am using 100-2, I am only assuming it is better since I have the equivalent OS version loaded and has phenomenal reception on Globe, you'll be using this on Smart's signal. So load with caution.
