You'll need to register for the unlisurf promos.

The Z10 works on regular data just like the iPhone. You need full uncompressed data to utilize its features to the fullest. Bbmax and other blackberry plans use the blackberry apn for data. You can still use bbmax599 as some have indicated but you won't be getting the full experience.

Have used bbmax with no problems on 3G and H+. No 4G though.

But I suggest get the regular unlisurf, its what the phone is made for.

Hi all - can we discuss battery life in here too? Mine is acting weird and don't know if it's happening only with my Z10 or not. I was on Skype for 10mins and noticed the battery temperature rising up to 40degrees. I've listened to 6-7 songs too (not streaming) and noticed battery level dropped 4%. Any thoughts?

    You took a giant leap. 1st time BlackBerry and it's a z10

Does internet speed differ for a z10 with bbmax from a z10 with unlisurf?

    Battery:
Z10 really drains battery quickly. Specially when using too much data over the network.

    Guys,

Can somebody tell me if I upgrade to BB Q10 does my BB email domain will be migrated to the new phone? Last year when BB announced that they are releasing new OS10 platform there are few things will be change in terms of the BB email domain will no longer be supported? Is this true and if they made updates on resolving this issue.

    I appreciate your inputs.

    Thank you.

@onggp are u with Globe too? So battery drain in that mark is just normal when we are on 3g or H+ mode?

    Posted via CB10
Yep, same goes for me during the first few weeks so I just switched to 2G if I don't use the Internet. You'll still get notifications though. With that my z10 lasts up to 12 hours with a full charge.

BBmax works for most of my friends. Only BlackBerry social and BlackBerry messaging won't work.

For now that is.. until globe sort things out

I personally think Q5 is slick, I may not use it for myself but as a gift it's perfect.

Maybe because bb social and bb message is just for some specific apps powered by BIS while bbmax offers those PLUS internet surfing, which the z10 needs.

I remember changing my apn to internet.globe.com.ph on my 9900.

though I love my 9900, its freakin keyboard, I must say I wont be switchjng to q10 for the reason that, its just gonna be like my old phone, like when I upgraded from 9300 to 9900, or from s3 to s4, or from ip4s to ip5.

I want a complete change, which I have achieved from 9900 to z10.

Doesn't that depend on the network available?

Can't see the attached pic. Lol. Anyway, what speed can you get on non-bbmax data? If it gives much difference then I'll be upgrading my plan

Yep. Elec and coms is my licensed field lol. 4G is a "division" for a set of frequencies and speed for data. Actually there isn't yet a true 4G. Just accepted ones, LTE is part of it. Good to know you're getting data for 4G.

    GSM
    2G & Edge
    3G & H+

From what I understand with the new BB OS10 with the later BB OS are different in terms of data connections. Basically the Old OS need to connect thru the BB Server (BIS/BES) while the new OS 10 is just a regular phone connection to the carrier.
