go to the help page of crackberry, but 9700 has so little memory that after you upgrade to os6, you will have small memory for other apps. added you to ph group.

Hi guys, I am new to Globe Blackberry. I got a postpaid plan 499 with an added BB Chat of 99/month. In order to send chat messages do I have to have my data plan ON? Does this mean that my data plan is only limited to BB Chat so I won't have any bill shock at the end of the month?

    Hi all,

I just wanted to ask if anyone of you is currently subscribed to postpaid plan BB FULL 599 of Smart here in the Philippines? I can activate the mobile hotspot using the 3G connection of my Blackberry 9320, but was once a wifi device connects to it, it doesn't browse or load any sites, plus, i cannot do youtube videos. Please help me to fully maximize this feature.

Note: No Access Point is defined as default here, i tried also putting "internet" as APN. Sadly, this doesn't work either. This mobile hotspot feature, works flawlessly on Globe Postpaid/Prepaid. Pero sa smart olats

I'm currently on Globe BB Unlisurf 999, took 1 day for it to activate.

On a note, someone is selling the Z10 here in PH for Php 44,500 already . I wonder if my sim will work there

The new bb10 doesnt need bis, only needs data to work.

That is what I'm concerned about, no BIS for the BB10 devices. From experience, my browsing is faster using BIS as compared to using the APNs from Globe.

I've had the Z10 for a couple days and I'm still on the BIS Prepaid plan from my 9900. The prepaid BIS has switched over to the Z10 perfectly well.
Regular unlisurf prepaid packages are more than P599 monthly anyway, so I will continue to use the prepaid BIS plan until Globe stops it.

My only issue is BBM delivering. BBM and SMS sometimes just don't deliver. I have to resend them..
Also, I'm set to 3G or 3G/2G yet Globe sets me up with their HSPDA network by showing me H+ instead of 3G and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with that. :/

HSPDA is 3G. H+ is 3G. Just symbolized differently for marketing purposes but pretty sure it doesnt affect your sending/receiving of SMS/BBM. most likely signal strength.

Noelito, you may be right. I think I know my problem now - SIM is prepaid & old. That means it doesn't support LTE so I'm going to upgrade to postpaid this week as that's the only way I will get LTE.

@Varadigm - i heard the Z10 requires a micro sim. did you cut yours from the 9900?

Yup & now unfortunately I'm gonna have to ditch it because Globe has LTE and this micro sim doesn't do LTE. Worse is, I'll not only lose my number but also have to get on a postpaid plan just to get a sim that uses full LTE.

i suggest you go ahead and ask first how much is their LTE plans. its not the same as the UNLISURF ones. pretty sure it has an hefty price tag.

if you dont mind me asking, how much and where did you buy your z10?

    Thanks

im also using globe with LTE sim but no LTE signal.
do you have 4g on your network setting? i can only select 2g and 3g on my setting
    02-26-13 10:11 AM
  21. Devil's Avatar
Yup 3G & 2G only. So wait, you have an LTE sim, postpaid globe, Z10 and you don't see option for LTE/4G, right?

What about the H+ in the signal bar? I get that usually near Buendia and EDSA. And I'm on prepaid sim.

Ok guys here it is. I used to be in unlisurf and i always had issues with sending bbm. Called the hot line and they said that i still need to be in bis. So they converted my plan to full blackberry data plan.. and so far bbm is working fine.

I don't do unlisurf. Even on my 9900 and still on Z10 I'm on BIS.

So, I still think it's a Globe postpaid thing.
