Globe and Smart users from the Philippines

- a simple computation where it shows the difference between GLOBE and SMART
SMART Plan 1200 + 350 relay fee= u pay Php1550 (assuming you use your consumable plan for blackberry only)
1200/15cents = YOU PAY Php1550 for 8000KB
GLOBE Plan 800 + Data Plan 700 (again, assuming you use ur gflex plan800 for blackberry only)
800/15cents = 5333KB + 5000KB(free from plan700 data plan)
YOU PAY Php1500 for 10333KB
SMART - Php1550 = 8000KB
GLOBE - Php1500 = 10333KB
*confirmed both by Smart and Globe CSRs
Bottomline of this is, its still for users to decide.if you dont use much of ur blackberry, plus you have more contacts under SMART, then go for smart, its cheaper by Php100 for the activation fee of your BIS.But GLOBE is MORE BLACKBERRY FRIENDLY if your a Blackberry user.
were all here to promote blackberry and gain friends, no personal issues.these are factual data..it is still up to you to decide what telecom will give you more savings..10-13-09 07:51 AMLike 0 - Nice post Paul.

By the way aside from the cost consideration, and for curiosity's sake why is globe more blackberry friendly according to you? Does it offer additional features or services not offered by the other? Please do enlighten me.

I just had a talk with one of their CSR and to my delight, they are offering an additional BIS plan of 700 for 10mb of data and on top of that, thay are waiving the relaying service fee. I'm going straight to a smart wireless center tom to inquire and subsequently subscribe to this.

The company I work for is now on smart bes. Those who chose to get bes are now getting charged anywhere between 5k to 20k. I have to admit though that some users are to be blamed for their wanton use of facebook! Haha

- BES - Blackberry Enterprise Service
Mostly used by corporate user's like organization and company. There some some restriction here like IT Policy.
BIS - Blackberry Internet Service
Used by individual account like us
Both account have push mail features. Unlike the BES, the company have the BES Administrator who managed and organise the server. And afaik the admin have the authority to read all your emails and text messages and can monitor your inbound and outbound calls.
