WiFi Calling is soooooo good for 8 hours of my day-- Solid brick office and T-mobile (on outside of town) means I can't give out cell number for callbacks, and have to use office phone for outgoing calls, which confuses friends. So with WFC it's one device all the time, and no one is confused by a work number (the worst part is the outgoing number broadcast on our office phones is the public one, not my extension, so if they call back based on callerID they get the front office switchboard-- grrrrr).

Soooooo good with application keyboard shortcuts and the email triage enhancements: the phone feels more "alive" in my hand, and I spent less time navigating the hub and swiping around.

Why can't they get along?

I understand (and share) your frustration. Are you much of a leak installer? I recall reading that some early 10.3.1 leak(s?) did not break WFC.

I did a few through autoloading. That gives me encouragement that it's perhaps possible to have the best of both worlds someday. Who knows what the scene will be like in six months T-mobile and Classic-wise.

I swap SIMs every month or so (since June it's been between a 9780, 9900 and Q10), so will be doing that till Classic is out and solid.

I've not been able to hack 10.3.1 to work with WFC, only 10.3.0. Until either a solution is found or Tmo decides to open up support on 10.3.1, one has to make the same choice as the OP.

I just went from 10.3.1 to whatever the official TMO is, 10.2.1.2228?? Just for wifi calling. I'm going to be in rural Maryland working for a couple of weeks and want to make sure I can call out if I need to. I do miss the refinement and extra options 10.3.1. has. Maybe it will be released officially soon and TMO did say they would continue to update existing BB customers, right??

You can go to 10.2.1.3442 if you want, a tiny bit more refined than .2228 and works with WFC.

It was a joke. I asked on this forum if .3442 (sorry, not 3247) would allow wifi-caling and Raino responded that his Q had automatically loaded it before he determined it would work -- but told me yes, go for it.
